da vinci code is so not worth watching...
i was like siannnnnnnn throughout.... i hope xmen next week is better man...
the movie like changed so much and added some useless stuff so much so that the two and a half hours were a pain to sit through.... and tom hanks isnt exactly my idea of an attractive intellectual... and his very obvious receding hairline bothered me a lot. the movie actually seems very shallow compared to the book... like how the book had me thinking about the foundation of religion in general, and how anyone could write a bible as long as they had enough pple to believe etcetra etcetra... it just dint happen when i was watching the movie. also the ideas in the movie are presented as too concrete... as facts, even. in the book sophie doesnt know for sure whether she is the real descendant of christ, rite? i like it that way...the ideas are too flat and blatantly stuffed in front of the audience to have any room for thinking in the movie.
AND the literally 'flashing' flashbacks of both sophie's and langdon's past was too abrupt and veryveryvery annoying. and silas' sad past and sophie's times with her grandfather was neglected. if anyone watched the movie without reading the book i doubt they would have the foggiest idea wth was going on lah.
i think if they ever came up with a movie for angels and demons i would go watch just to see if they can screw up good books even further. that was how bad it was. damn disappointed lah. i had been looking forward to it since.....very long ago.
haizzzzzzzzz.
niwaes holidays in a week! yay.
